Cyber Abak 2015

Dear customers,
 
We reach the end of this year 2014 which saw numerous developments for our company. 2015 will see the deployment of 360 Abak Software and other software from Sirius Group on the European market. Sirius Europe, based in Paris will be in charge of the development of our commercial activities in Europe.

As you noticed with the recent release of the version7.9 we keep on working on further improving Abak Web and developing new functionalities. This is our main target.  For the upcoming versions, Abak Web will be enriched with new features mainly focused on project management, reporting, billing, and will include collaboration tools.

We take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your loyalty and to ensure that we remain at your disposal. Feel free to send us comments and suggestions. We develop and improve our software, keeping in mind that you are the users and your full satisfaction is our priority.

Migrating Abak Abak Pro Enterprise / Web

As you know, we have just launched the new version 7.9 of Abak 360.
Some of our early customers still use Abak Pro, a solution that we do not propose anymore since several years and which has been replaced by Abak 360 / Enterprise-Web, a much more efficient, up to date and user friendly tool.
We invite those users to migrate to Abak Enterprise-Web. The future of our software focuses on the Web version. We shall  of course continue  to provide support on Abak Pro, but this  version no longer being sold we shall not develop any  new feature for it.  It will remain as it is, in its current configuration.

Why migrate to Abak 360 Entreprise-Web?

Version 7.9 is now available



Customers with local installation

Version 7.9 is now available on our extranet. Please send an email to support@abaksoftware.com to plan the upgrade of your environment to this version.



Hosted customers

The upgrades are ongoing. You will be notified by email a few days before the scheduled installation date.


Sending invoices with version 7.9

Note that sending invoices by email is now done from the server where Abak is installed. Some

configurations are required. Please refer to the section Step 2 - Modifying the SMTP property

parameters from the document How To - Use the Workflow.pdf.

Change in our prerequisites

The prerequisites for the installation and use of Abak have been updated. We invite you to consult them by downloading the new document available on the extranet.

*** After an update, if you encounter this error message "Failed to update the Abak Client", before starting your AbakClient, select your Abak Client icon by clicking the right mouse button and in the menu that appears select "Run as administrator". ***

Version 7.10

We are working already on version 7.10 which will be launched in spring 2015. Here is what we have planned in terms of improvements and new features:

  • .the project is completed
  • .the project is on hold
  • .if the customer is inactive
  • .if the employee is inactive (timesheets)


Accommodation: cost increase

Please note that starting from January 1st 2015 the annual hosting fees will increase with 1, - per month, per user.
This cost increase is explained by the migration of database to the latest technology servers and migration of the operating system (Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2012). The purpose of these operations is to enhance our services and to serve you better.

Trick of the pro


In version 7.9 WEB, it is possible for the user to customize the layout of the homepage, which displays all modules (all hosted clients will be updated in the coming weeks. You will be notified by email a few days prior to the installation date). If Abak is installed on your server or is installed on our servers BUT you want to be upgraded in priority, you can contact the support department.
