By the end of May 2014, it will be possible to generate invoices from the new version of Abak Web. Since all upcoming and future major updates and improvements will be mainly brought our web version, we strongly invite our customers to upgrade to the web version and thus to familiarize themselves with this version that will continue to evolve in the coming years.
Abak software Inc. wish to help you improve your project management process. HOW DO TIME BANKS WORK?
Abak Software Inc. proposes time banks to its clients which is used in the following cases :
- Training the client personnel
- Answering questions on how to use software
- Any activities tied to the creation and development of custom reports and invoice format.
How do we manage time banks?
- Abak time banks are managed by 15 minutes increments. For example, a client call and the phone call lasted 10 minutes, Abak will use 15 minutes of the client’s time bank (0,25 hour).
The following events will use your time bank:
- Phone calls with a trainer.
- The time used by a trainer to read and reply to an email or other forms of written communications.
- When a trainer as to wait for the client. For example: let’s say you have a training session schedule for 3 of your employees and the trainer as to wait because one (1) of the employee is running late.
- If a custom report or invoice format as to be developed, any time spent for the analysis and/or communication on technical specifications with the development team will be charge.
- The time use by the Abak Software team for testing custom report and invoice format.
What happen if you exceed your time bank?
When your time bank shows a negative time balance (exceeded the amount purchase) Abak softwares Inc. reserves its right to stop replying to inquiries till you have renewed your time bank. If you wish to know the details of the transactions logged onto your time bank, just send a request to email@example.com

Abak version 7.7
For locally installed customers, if you still use a version prior to 7.7 we invite you to send an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to plan an update of your Abak environment to version 7.7.
For customers who already used version 7.7, note that the latest release is available on the extranet. We invite you to contact the technical support team to install the latest release on your server.
Abak re-install on a new server
Note that the assistance to re-install Abak on a new server is not included in the annual rental. We invite you to communicate with our sales department if you plan to reinstall Abak with the assistance of our technical support.
In addition, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the new server meets the prerequisites required by Abak. Some components such as IIS and Microsoft SQL Server need to be installed by the customer before the installation of Abak on the new server.
Tips to remember
Batch invoicing locked
To unlock the batch invoicing process, go to ‘’Corporate entity’’, open the entity, ‘’Invoicing’’ tab and click on the button to unlock it, section ‘’Billing in process by:’’.
Draft invoicing project locked
From the draft invoicing window, click on unlock draft invoice in Action menu.
Abak Client automatic update failed
Before opening your Abak Client, right click on your Abak icon and from the menu select ‘’Run as administrator’’.
