Hello everyone!
We hope your vacation has been enjoyable. It is time to return to work, to plan the last quarter of 2013 or for some of you to close the year on September 30th. Times are quite hectic for the Abak team. We started the last quarter at full speed. What’s up?  7.7., the new version of Abak, of course, but also several new events with are related to our merger with Sirius Conseils. We shall unveil those events in the coming months, through social media, our web site and the next CyberAbak. In the meantime thank you for your loyalty.

As you all know Abak Software Inc. is part of the Sirius Group, specializing in Project Management. Our strategies converge towards commercial actions, in order to propose complementarity packages of services and tools.

SIRIUS TRAINING celebrates the launch of its new website! A new website is born – This exclusive site is devoted to training and is available both in French and in English. This transactional site was built thanks to the efforts of numerous people. The well-known know-how of Sirius in matter of training programs will help us to continue our progress towards Europe. Why Europe? Because our educational approaches, action-oriented and concrete results have quite their place there and the experience of our bootcamps in Switzerland are already a guarantee of success.

SIRIUS TRAINING continues to innovate, and we are also proud to establish ourselves among the 3 % of EPR which began a turn on the web. Our first course in e -learning is now available, and this is just the beginning, others are already in development, it is a great experience to adapt a course through an e-learning approach.

Further, WEB capsules, regarding current events have been added for other types of audiences.  So why no developing  your skills during your lunch time!

Contest Sirius-Abak

 LAUNCH OF « WIN A TRIP WITH GROUP SIRIUS » CONTEST

Montreal, September, 23rd,

For the launch of its new image and to reward customer loyalty ( including Abak customers) and interest shown by qualified prospects, SIRIUS Consulting organizes the contest "Win a trip with Group SIRIUS". This contest is a one of a kind opportunity for you to win a one-week trip to the Bahamas for two people. The contest will take place from Monday, September 23rd, 12:00 am (Eastern time) to Monday, November 18th at 5:00 pm (Eastern time).

The winner will be the person who has earned the highest number of points. To earn those points, you need to recompose a 17 letters key sentence related to SIRIUS Consulting, by solving four (4) enigmas and to return your participating form. Enigmas to solve the key sentence will be gradually revealed on SIRIUS Consulting’s website and on social networks as well.

Solutions to the enigmas will lead you to discover clues needed to recompose the key sentence. These clues forming letters will be posted on specific pages of our website. So, keep your eyes open because with all these letters, you will be able to recompose the key phrase and to participate to the contest. Again, the winner will be the person who has earned the highest number of points. Only one trip can be won.

To qualify, certain conditions apply. Please read the contest rules below.

Version 7.7: What's new?


Version 7.7is now available!
It is important to notice that most of the new functionalities and improvements on existing ones have been brought to the web version.

What's new?
Improved securityin terms of passwords and access to Abak.
Document Management: attach proposals to projects, resume’s to employees, invoices and receipts to expense accounts and much more!
Currently, and temporarily, documentmanagement in case of a hosted mode is not yet finalized. This is largely due to available space constraints, we're working on that!

* Expense accounts available in Abak Mobile
*Ability to populate lists (customers, projects, employees, etc.)
  When choosing the parameters of a custom crystal report.
* New Pivot Report tool, easier to use than the classic version.
* New: enriched notes in the web version
* Ability to log expenses and timesheets at the same time (on the same screen)

1.       Some documents have been revised and others added. Several others are in development and will be released together with version 7.8.

2.       AbaKast season has begun! These 90 minutes to 2 hours group presentations, bring light to  miscellaneous. Check our website to know more about upcoming sessions and join us!

We invite you tosend an email at support@abaksoftware.com to plan an update of your Abak environment to version 7.7.

Forhosted customers:
Updates are currently in progress. In the coming weeks, you will receive an email informing you when your environment will be updated.

Please note thatdocument management is only available in AbakWeb. If you would like information on AbakWeb, please contact the sales department at the following address sales@abaksoftware.com. For hosted customers who wish to use document management, you must contact the sales team at sales@abaksoftware.com.
